Issues downloaded files

Getting this pop up every few MB downloaded:
(java.net.socketexception: an established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine.)

Have tried uninstalling / reinstalling / restarting Mac.

I click Try Again and the pop up comes up 4 more times in a row and then the whole process repeats. It does eventually download but not without babysitting it.
